ARTEAST
Join Us at Wagman Studio!
We invite you to visit Wagman Studio on November 22nd and 23rd as part of ArtEast, for a special presentation of Miranda’s latest series, made possible with generous support from the Illinois Arts Council.
In this body of work, Miranda draws on floral components and the contemporary use of mourning brooches to delve into the delicate and often overlooked moments when life begins. Through her art, she examines the space between what is forming and what has not yet emerged. Each piece reflects the fragility of life and the resilience needed to navigate infertility. Miranda’s work serves a fosters a safe and thoughtful space to explore and raise awareness about the misconceptions and emotional challenges surrounding infertility. By intertwining materials that symbolize both growth and remembrance, she invites viewers to consider the cycles of life, the unseen struggles of those yearning for children, and persistence of hope in the face of uncertainty.
This series is both intimate and universal, encouraging reflection on the fragile beauty of life, the emotional complexity of creation, and the ways in which art can communicate experiences that are often unspoken. Join us to experience this evocative new work, and to be part of a dialogue that combines artistry, empathy, and understanding.
